Can I apply for support?
The A.Wilhelmsen Foundation can provide financial support within:

Research and education through scholarships for Norwegian and foreign students for use at Norwegian universities and colleges, particulary in economics and business management.

The foundation can provide support for education of Norwegian ship officers and maritime education.

Support the Norwegian seaman's and seafarer's position by awarding an annual Marine's prize to a person or a institusion who, in the past year, has made a special effort for Norwegian seamen and seaman status.

The Foundation may also consider other similar purposes at the Board's discretion.

Students at NHH and BI Oslo
For students at NHH and BI, applications must be sent direct to the schools. For more information about the application process through NHH and BI, please see the process described at the universities webpages.

Send your application with the following :

Your grade transcript

A budget for your desired support

A motivation letter explaining why you apply , and what you think you will achieve by receiving our support.
The information helps us to evaluate the application appropriately.

Processing your application
The Board will in each Board meeting evaluate and decide on the latest incoming applications.
Deadline
We have a running application deadline. For scholarship applicants via BI or NHH, see the application deadline on the schools' websites. (Normally the application deadline is 1 March each year)
