What we do​

The A. Wilhelmsen Foundation can provide financial support as follows :  

• Research and education through scholarships for Norwegian and foreign students for use at Norwegian universities and colleges, particulary in economics and business management.

• The foundation can provide support for the education of Norwegian ship officers and maritime education
   

• Contribute in cases to promote the maritime industry. 

​​

• Support the Norwegian seaman's and seafarers position by awarding an annual Mariner's prize to a person or an institution who, in the past year, has made a special effort for Norwegian seamens and seafarers status.

• The Foundation may also consider other similar purposes at the Board's discretion.
